It easily deflects the road debris and provides a reliable shield to keep your trailer from unsightly damage.
The Tow Guard features a sturdy construction of steel and heavy-duty recycled rubber, and it installs or removes as needed, using your trailer hitch and a ball mount. This particular model fits any 2" to 3" ball mount shank.
NOTE: A 2" to 3" ball mount is required for installation (not included).

I have had this tow guard for almost 2 years now along with the heat shields for my ram 1500 with the dual rear exit exhaust. Also had to purchase a longer body hitch as I have an aftermarket receiver that's recessed behind my bumper further than factory, so this would fit the truck, incase anyone else has the same.
After a little over a year and 1 winter in Ontario (salt) the frame started to rust and pit in areas and I eventually had to clean it up and repaint it with the "higher grade" primer/spray paint from your local hardware store which has already outlasted their powder coat.
The top bracket that clamps onto the hitch had cracked around the bolt slots and broke at the 90° bend. I've continuously made sure the clamps were tight and I've also had a hitch clamp on since new to prevent hits and vibration from the hitch slop. I have never hit anything with them causing them to bend or any sort of foul play on my end, the steel is simply just too thin for these clamps. I have since welded the brackets up but will be making new brackets out of thicker steel or an entirely new clamping system for it all together, even when the clamps were as tight as possible the entire frame would still pivot on the hitch at highway speed causing the frame to hit and scratch my bumper. I just added rubber edge trim to the top lip of frame to stop this.
I do really like this tow guard for the full coverage protection, the exhaust cut outs/heatshields, and I like the look over rock tamers. it's done great to protect my boat, snowmobiles, camper, etc. but there are areas that need improvement!
For the price, I would have expected better quality powder coat and a bit better engineering on the clamp system.

I thought this might be adjustable and work on a dually but it is not wide enough to cover the outside wheels. I returned it
